The Challenge: - is quite simple, The Challenge is to simply drive the route from Plymouth to Dakar (on a limited budget) with the principle aim of helping some Charitable causes in Senegal and The Gambia. As well as the gear being auctioned off at the conclusion of the rally, we are trying to raise £1,500 for Care International, and if we can find an appropriate sponsor - to take some educational supplies such as stationary, toys, books etc to the area.
The challenge may look simple enough, but the route takes us over about 3500-4000 miles of various terrain, mountians, rivers, plains, and the parts of the Western Sahara.
The 'Concept' Rules
1 Competing cars must cost less than £100.
2 Maximum budget for the vehicle Rally Preparation: £15
3 Once the Rally is underway - Teams are ON THEIR OWN.
4 All of vehicles will be handed over to the Challenge Control Group and auctioned in aid of local Gambian Charities.
5 All vehicles must be left hand drive.
6 Rules are made to be broken
